Criteria to Take Driver’s Education

 

1. Grade Level Requirement:**  

   - Students must be enrolled in grades 10 through 12 to participate in Driver’s Education.

 

2. Age Requirement:  

   - Students must typically be 15 or 16 years old to enroll in Driver’s Education, depending on state regulations.

 

3. Minimum GPA Requirement:  

   - Students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA to qualify for Driver’s Education enrollment.

 

4. Academic Standing in Core Classes:**  

   - Students must be on track in their core classes (such as math, English, science, and social studies), demonstrating satisfactory progress in these essential subjects.

 

5. Good Conduct Record:  

   - Students cannot have any conduct problems, including referrals or suspensions, during the semester they intend to enroll in Driver’s Ed.

 

6. Account Standing: 

   - Students' school accounts must be in good standing, with no outstanding fees or unresolved financial obligations.

 

7. School Enrollment or Attendance:  

   - Students under 18 are often required to be actively enrolled in school or meet attendance requirements to take Driver’s Ed.

 

8. Teacher Approval:  

   - Students must obtain approval from a teacher confirming they meet all academic and behavioral requirements.
